On October 19-21 ‘2017 delegates from Caritas organizations across the sub-region come together for their annual meeting. Representatives of Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan took part in the event, while two counties from sub-region could not attend the event. Caritas Tajikistan was represented by its President –Fr. Pedro Lopez and its director – Kholov Y.
We mention that the Central Asia sub-region was created by Caritas Asia in 2015 and unites youngest and emerging Church organizations in the post soviet territories.
The meeting discussed vital strategic issues for the development of Caritas in the region. This time the meeting invited also local Church leaders to discuss Caritas development issues. This meeting becomes possible thanks to significant support provided by CI and CA.
