From September 28 to October 4, 2025, Caritas Tajikistan welcomed representatives of the European Union Reintegration Program (EURP) for a monitoring mission aimed at reviewing ongoing reintegration activities and achievements in supporting return migrants from EU countries. Through the EURP, Frontex provides essential support to migrants returning to their home countries.
The mission included visits to the Caritas Tajikistan Office in Dushanbe, where the team met with the Caritas management and project team. During the meeting, the Caritas team presented an overview of all reintegration programs, shared updates on beneficiaries’ progress, and discussed operational and financial procedures of the reintegration that ensure efficiency, transparency and accountability.
As part of the monitoring agenda, the delegation also conducted field visits to returnees, observing firsthand the impact of the reintegration support provided through Caritas Tajikistan. They visited the National Adults’ Learning Center at the Ministry of Labor and Migration, where returnees participate in professional training and counseling sessions to strengthen their skills and livelihood opportunities.
Throughout the mission, the EURP team observed Caritas Tajikistan’s daily operations, including individual counseling with returnees, preparation of Reintegration Plans (RPs), and related activities.
The visit reaffirmed the importance of the partnership between Caritas Tajikistan and the European Union in promoting sustainable reintegration and supporting migrants in rebuilding their lives at home.
