Caritas Tajikistan discovered historical evidence of Caritas work in the country. This object is a house (and even a number of houses) in Qubodiyon district build for the resettled population of this area after the civil war in the country in the mid 1990th. The house as a monument or artifact from the past that is witnessing to all of the universal love, care of Catholics to “neighbors” in the difficult period.
The photo of the house built 25 years ago with Caritas support also is a good reminder that we should be aware of the longer-term impact of the work while we are doing our projects now. Remarkably, this project was realized when Caritas Tajikistan does not exist yet in the country, most probably it is done by Caritas Germany or Swiss. The population in the area is well acquainted with “Caritas”.
